Taurus

April 20-May 20

Taurus is famously stubborn-a lower level than will. Will comes when one knows they are right. Stubborn comes with not being sure they are, but being reluctant to move.

Taurus needs the self-awareness of Leo, the depth of Scorpio, the adventuresomeness of Aquarius.

Taurus Presidents: James Monroe, James Buchanan, U.S. Grant, Harry S. Truman James Monroe was the Monroe of the Monroe Doctrine, which led to the end of much of the colonies in South America, and signed the Missouri Compromise, which meant Iowa, Wisconsin, and Wisconsin would be free states.

US Grant’s refusal to retreat before the Southern Army led to not only it’s defeat, but it’s annihilation. He also utterly destroyed the first iteration of the KKK, which meant it took 50 years to revive and also destroyed any hope of a second Secession by his various efforts to help the freedmen.

James Buchanan is considered one of the worst Presidents for not doing more to prevent the Civil War-I think the South was determined to leave no matter who was President-Lincoln was just the catalyst that made for an immediate secession rather than one that happened later.

Harry Truman’s great achievements helped secure the peace after World War II by helping out the starving Germans, forcing Japan to unconditional surrender, integrating the Army, and defending the gains of the New Deal. He may have dealt revanchists a fatal blow by firing McArthur and refusing to expand the Korean War by starting a fight with China.
