Montana

The capital of Montana is Helena. Montana became a state on November 8, 1889.

No Presidents or Vice Presidents have come from Montana, but Montana is a bit off the beaten path and a relatively young state.  It takes time (and a bit of exposure) to develop a political footprint large enough for a national figure.  More than likely though, Montana‚Äôs first is likely to be someone who moved from there and gained stature.

Movies made in/about Montana:  A River Runs Through It, and Certain Women.  But a lot of movies are made in Montana: The Montana Film Office, when moviemakers like its breathtaking beauty and its wide spaces.
